Synthesis and Detection of a Seaborgium Carbonyl Complex

In an experiment performed at the RIKEN Nishina Center for Accelerator-Based Science, Japan, an international collaboration of scientists, with participation of the laboratory of radiochemistry and environmental chemistry (R. Eichler, I. Usoltsev, A. Türler, University of Bern and Paul Scherrer Institute) synthesized for the first time single molecules of the compound Sg(CO)6 and determined their adsorption properties on a silicon dioxide surface.
